This textile is half of a bed hanging dating from the late 1800's ~ we find many of these panels in half, the reason for this is in France, inheritance laws require that things be split evenly , and that even pertains to textiles! ~ this panel is half and the other half I have also online, to view, simply search my store for the words " pink paisley " ~ this is half of a Kalamkari textile or bed hanging , most likely hand printed with wood blocks in India ~ the fabric is a medium weight, very sturdy and beautiful! ~ Measurements: This fabric measures 111 inches by 24 inches CONDITION : Wonderful condition indeed! As found, not freshly laundered and it can be machine washed on gentle, with normal detergent and then hung dry.
