1898 Edition Topographical Map of the Dungavel area. Lanarkshire XXX. SW

Description: Original Ordnance Survey County Series Map Lanarkshire XXX. SW, covering the Dungavel and Drumclog areas, to the southwest of Strathaven, on a scale of Six Inches to One Statute Mile. Noteworthy historical features shown on the map include Dungavel Lodge and a number of old pits and quarries. The map is printed on thick parchment type paper and measures approximately 46cm x 30cm, with titles, notes, legends and scale bars on the wide margins. The whole sheet measures approximately 51cm x 39cm and has been trimmed. The map is generally in good condition, although it has three small tears on the bottom margin (see photos).
