Colonel Donald J. Thibodeaux announced today that Sgt. David J. Keyser, Jr., of Troop A, Baton Rouge has been promoted to the rank of lieutenant effective January 22, 1974. Lt. Keyser is an eight-year veteran of the Louisiana State Police from Baton Rouge and has served in Troop A the entire time. He was commissioned as a State Police Trooper on November 16, 1966. He served in this capacity until he was promoted to trooper-1st-class on November 16, 1967. In November of 1971, he became a sergeant in which capacity he has served to the present time.
