1987 Topps Wax Box Case "J" RARE - Factory Sealed Cello Case

There’s a picture in the auction that show a opened case with wax boxes - that’s for display purposes only as I have another case that auctioning off the individual cells boxes. For those who followed the card industry back in the 80's you will know exactly how rare these boxes are, let alone cases. These boxes are from the factory sealed 1987 Topps "J362-87J" wax cases. These are the one and only factory cello sealed boxes. In 1986, 1987, and 1988 Topps wrapped the wax boxes with a cellophane wrap (though not a shrink-wrap which other sellers do and claim they are sealed boxes) that were distributed at retail stores and wholesale clubs. Topps needed to add the wrap to satisfy the retailers desire to do box-only sales. The wax case also has a different case code to differentiate between the regular version and the wrapped one as well as shipped in a red color printed box vs. the original green print for the 87 Topps run. 100% factory sealed with the label of SWC 3471 printed on cello sealed every box inside the case to identify these for for retail/wholesale stores.
