Description: Here are 3 original Book Illustrations each one measuring 6 3/4 in. X 5 1/4 in.; and two measuring 4 1/2 in. x 6 in. There are all in very good vintage condition. They are not dated though I believe they were created in the 1950s. The artist, Valerie (Ole) Swenson, signed each with her pen name, Ole.. Valerie (Ole) Swenson is an American Postwar & Contemporary artist who was born in 1907.She wrote and illustrated many books about nature and also created many fine paintings and prints - woodblocks and silkscreens. Swenson, while born in Kansas City, MO, she worked in the Hudson Valley and lived in Shandhaken NY. Following her death I was able purchase a large assortment of her artwork.
