Some of the finest factory guitars are made from basswood. Basswood has a very nice, slightly bright, tone, is very lightweight, and has a closed grain with very few imperfections. This makes Basswood very easy to finish! Sanding is extremely easy and goes fast and it takes just about any type of finish very well. Because it looks rather “plain” we recommend a solid or burst finish. - 100% Made by veterans in the USA- The multi piece body shown is the exact body you will receive- This body has no finish. Additional filling, sanding and finishing will be required. You should seal it as soon as possible to avoid splits etc.- Wiring holes between pickups and control cavity are drilled- The rear routed control cavity is sized fro our Supra-Tone control cavity cover. Measure your neck FIRST and be prepared to put the work in to finish the body. We can make just about ANY custom guitar body you can imagine. With SO many bridge and neck choices available, each one different, the BEST way to install the bridge is to mount your neck first, then position the bridge for proper alignment and intonation, then USE THE BRIDGE ITSELF as a template for drilling the holes. This way you can be assured that the bridge is mounted in the exact correct position, and that everything lines up and intonation is correct and the only tool it takes is a drill.
