LIVE IN JAPAN 1984 is an historic recording, not only because it was the last live set by the I.O.U. band, but it was also shown on Japanese television, so it has exceptional production value and sound quality. The performance of WARSAW SUMMER JAZZ DAYS '98 was beautifully recorded and filmed and originally aired on Polish Television. The sound quality of both the audio and video is amazing and was digitally re-mastered from the original tapes. In addition to the broadcast performance, the DVD will also contain bonus footage from the performance not broadcast on television. The Warsaw Summer Jazz Days is still one of the most prestigious and heralded jazz festivals in the world and the 1998 performance by the Allan Holdsworth Trio is still talked about today as one of the great moments in the history of the festival. FRANKFURT '86 is the third in a continuing series of classic Allan Holdsworth live performances. In this performance at the 1986 Deutsches Jazz Festival in Frankfurt, Germany, Allan Holdsworth is accompanied by Gary Husband on drums, Jimmy Johnson on bass and Kei Akagi on keyboards. Gary Husband also contributed some very personal liner notes to the package. The performance of FRANKFURT '86 was beautifully recorded and filmed and was originally broadcast on German Television. The sound quality of the audio and picture quality of the video are both amazing and were digitally re-mastered from the original tapes. LEVERKUSEN '97 is the fourth release in the series of classic Holdsworth live performances. In this performance from Leverkusen Jazztage Festival in Leverkusen, Germany, Allan Holdsworth is accompanied by Chad Wakerman on drums and Dave Carpenter on bass. Wackerman not only wrote some of the very personal liner notes on the package, but also did an interview that is included as a DVD extra. LEVERKUSEN '97 was beautifully recorded and filmed and was originally broadcast on German television. LEVERKUSEN 2010 is the fifth release in the series of classic Holdsworth live performances. The double-disc CD/DVD set features the guitar great live at the Leverkusen Jazztage Festival in Germany on November 9, 2010, 13 years after his triumphant 1997 performance at the festival. For the performance, Holdsworth was backed by acclaimed drummer and long-time collaborator Chad Wackerman and ace bassist Ernest Tibbs. The bass player also wrote liner notes for the set, based on his personal memories of performing with Holdsworth and Wackerman, and, along with Wackerman, is also featured in an interview included on the DVD as a bonus. In all, LEVERKUSEN 2010 is a worthy addition to the Holdsworth legacy of live performances filled with stellar musicianship. EIDOLON: The Allan Holdsworth Collection is a double CD collection of 28 songs handpicked by Holdsworth himself. This collection includes songs from his expansive catalog including a rare version of the song "Road Games" with Jack Bruce on vocals. Guitar legend Allan Holdsworth has had a career that has spanned nearly fifty years and is considered by many to be the guitarists' guitarist.
