See Pictures for the condition of the mugs. History of these Mugs: Per Annapolis Pottery, these are their Pooh mugs. They have been carrying them for many years. They have estimated they may be at least 10 years old, and they are dishwasher, microwave and oven safe. The speckles in the clay are from manganese and they do not use it anymore, so their mugs no longer have the speckles in them. The Story Per Annapolis Pottery:There's a wonderful story to our Winnie-the-Pooh pottery. The Annapolis Pottery was founded in 1969 by Brian Mitchell who was physician from England who immigrated to the US. He left his medical career to dedicate his career to pottery full time. During his time in school, Brian's roommate was Christopher Robin Milne, son of A.A. Milne, the creator of Winnie the Pooh. With their friendship, the Milne Family granted The Annapolis Pottery permission to make pottery featuring Christopher Robin, Winnie, Tigger, Eeyore, Piglet and other characters. It's been an honor to carry on the Christopher Robin & Winnie-the-Pooh story via our ceramics over the decades!
