Description: For sale is an original American Scene watercolor painting by the New York artist and illustrator Bartow Van Voorhis Matteson (1894 - 1984). This painting, according to inscription on the reverse is an upstate New York firefighting scene of the Saugerties NY fire department. We have not examined this out of the frame to determine if that inscription is also on the reverse of the painting. The painting is circa 1950’s to 1960’s in age. It is signed by the artist in the lower right area Condition: Overall good. The frame with only age appropriate wear. Measurements Framed - 21 1/2” Sight - 14 1/2” x 21 1/4”
