Batman #53 💦COMPLETE, UNRESTORED, VERY RARE 💦 1949

Description: BATMAN #53 RARE BATMAN BOOK! D.C. Comics 1949 This book has been through the wringer, with heavy damage to the cover, but interior pages remain in good shape. The front cover has a piece missing in the top left corner with an accompanying ~2" vertical tear, as well as other small edge and spine tears, soiling, tanning on the interior side and a penciled "53" at top. Back cover has a piece detached top right corner, stains, tanning on the interior side, edge and spine wear with small tears, and tiny holes along spine from extra staples that were put in and then removed at some point. Note that these tiny nearly imperceptible staple holes are also found on interior pages. The spine is split 1.5" top and bottom, well I guess better said missing at top. The cover is detached at the bottom staple. Interior pages are generally in good shape, but note that the centerfold is detached. PLEASE take a close look at the photographs and assess the condition yourself before purchasing. Shipping: Raw comic books are either sent in Gemini mailers (or similar) or sandwiched between sturdy thick cardboard pieces. Comic books are firmly attached to cardboard with blue painter's tape to ensure they stay put in transit and to make it easier for the buyer to unpack. Orders of up to 1 pound are shipped via USPS first-class mail. Orders over 1 pound are sent priority mail (note that comic books cannot be sent media mail per USPS regulations). All slabs are double boxed with ample packing material. Returns: Returns available for most raw comic books. I do not generally accept returns for graded books, but there are exceptions - I will accept a return if there is a defect in the slab due to CGC encasing or if the book is damaged during transit.
