He reigned as world middleweight champion from 1970 to 1977, successfully defending the title a record 14 times before retiring undefeated champion. Monzon's final record was 87-3-9 (59koes) and he was an astonishing 71-0-9 in his final 80 fights, avenging all but one of his draws and remaining undefeated in his last 13 years of fighting. These three dvds show Monzon at his brilliant best, and include all of his world title fights. Mopnzon was world champion during a golden era for the middleweight division, and these classic fights are a great mixture of action and skill, the like of which you do not see very often in boxing today, even at world title level. The fights of these 7 dvds are: Carlos Monzon vs Nino Benvenuti 1 and 2, Emile Griffith 1 ( in bw) and 2, Denny Moyer, Jean Claude Bouttier 1 and 2 (cuts out 2 mins before end of 15th round but great picture!) Tom Bogs, Bennie Briscoe 2 (please note this very rare fight is in bw) Jose Napoles, Tony Mundine, Tony Licata, Gratien Tonna, and Rodrigo Valdez 1 and 2. This rare footage is collected from my own personal collection of classic boxing fights. The fights contained are in colour with picture quality varying from fair to very good, when you take into account the age of the fights. Please do not expect HD picture quality though as these fights are over 30 years old!. In order to keep down prices the dvds are kept natural and are shipped in secure paper wallets.
