Description: Early Hand Forged Wig Hair Flat Iron. Measuring 11 3/8" long, the faces are 1 5/8" wide, and this weighs 1 lb 1 1/4 oz unboxed. Not signed as to the maker. Age, anywhere from the late 18th Century until the mid 19th Century. This is in decent condition and was cleaned. There is some overall light pitting and patina. The faces also have some light pitting, but close down tight. The "through the center" joint is good. The loop handles have some pitting, and would have originally been wrapped with cord, but that rarely survives the journey. This ain't pristine, but these guys are sure not very common either.
