On the subject of Rev Howard Finster, Smithsonion holds a long interview"Oral history interview with Howard Finster, 1984 June 11 by Liza Kirwin, for the Archives of American Art at the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C." Buried in that sprawling interview, Finster claims to have represented many artists as a dealer and had shown "Mr Pickles acrylic paintings" in his chapel.
