Description: GYPSY, Herald (Advertising Flyer), 08/89, Tryout, Kennedy Center, Washington, DC. The musical revival opened in NYC on 11/16/89 and ran for 476 performances. The front features a photo of Tyne Daly as Mama Rose; show title; author and some production credits. The back contains song titles; dates; and theatre credit. Music by Jule Styne, lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by Arthur Laurents (suggested by the Memoirs of Gypsy Rose Lee). Directed by Arthur Laurents and choreographed by Jerome Robbins reproduced by Bonnie Walker. Condition is near excellent with minor wear. Heralds are advertising flyers that are placed at theatres and sometimes included in Playbills and programs. Sizes vary but most of the older ones are 6 x 9 1/2 inches. This is NOT a reproduction!! CONDITION: I use a six-step condition scale to describe the overall paper quality: Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor. Good means just that: desireable for a collection with no immediate need to upgrade. Excellent and Mint are usually reserved for publisher and music store remainders. Expect Good-minus and Fair to have considerable wear. All specific condition faults are noted after the general condition. IMAGES: I use a digital camera so the entire piece is visible.
