Hiroki (浩樹) Aida apprenticed under Japan’s legendary master genno blacksmith Kozaburo Hasegawa. Hiroki was a master blacksmith and is known for his precise craftsmanship. His superior work is properly forged and hardened and has a signature feel of excellence. He mastered the process of forging differentially-hardened genno heads (hard face but soft body) with a perfect balance. This unique type of steel helps absorb the impact of a hammer strike reducing user fatigue. Hiroki Aida and Masayuki Baba are considered the finest genno blacksmiths since Kozaburo passed. Long term storage so may have minor scratches. This beautiful genno will last a lifetime! Includes a custom handmade pau ferro handle. Handle will require minimal sizing to fit genno eye.
