Description: An A3 poster print of the launch advert for the legendary Linn Sondek, dating from 1972. Reproduced with an extreme attention to detail from a magazine print by removing dust, creases, fading, etc. Then all the print grain has been completely removed, and every part of the image redrawn at a resolution of over 900dpi at A3 size. Immaculate detail down to the last pixel, and would pass for the quality of an original advertising proof. Selective high saturation to make the colour images stand-out whilst preserving all the shadows, reflections and delicate contrast ratios. All fonts have been redrawn to an individual pixel level so they are extremely sharp. The simplest translation of the Japanese text is "Introducing..." and the most complex one is "Now introducing to the world..." Extended borders all round so you can frame this in an A3 landscape frame with up to 15mm of rebate on each side (15mm of the print covered up on all sides) and you won't be covering any key elements of the image such as the main or satellite images or any of the text. An extreme level of segmenting and reconstruction, including smoothing, redrawing, superimposing recreated logos and graphics, etc. All with the aim of making this a definitive version of the original. Printed on Ilford Galerie 270gsm gloss photo paper, one of (if not the) best paper you can buy. The inks I use are archive quality UV-proof with a 50-year fade profile that beats any other ink on the market. The inks create a very dense print that isn't like any usual inkjet print you've seen. So dense in fact that final print has more of a satin sheen than a pure gloss shine, which is better for framing and viewing behind glass or clear plastic sheet. Price where it is due to the fact it took 2 weeks to produce, and the fact the postage and packing are included. I either post in a 3" mailer tube or a corrugated cardboard box (rectangular). In both cases the poster rolled in acid-free tissue paper to a diameter of approx. 6.5cm and if sent in a corrugated box, this is inside a non-rigid square pull-apart tube for extra protection (I also allow for crush space between the inner container and the outer box in this case). The only thing you need to worry about really is handling the print. All inkjet photo paper has an ink absorbing layer which will pick up fingerprints (the oils from your skin) upon touch, and these don't wipe off as they do with a normal glossy picture print from a photo lab. As such, please handle the print with care using fingertips on the edges only, avoiding dark and black areas altogether. Once framed behind glass or a clear plastic sheet it can be handled and displayed even in direct sunlight without any degradation occurring whatsoever.
