Description: Per Wikipedia, American music artist Marvin Gaye released 25 studio albums, four live albums, one soundtrack album, 24 compilation albums, and 83 singles. In 1961 Gaye signed a recording contract with Tamla Records, owned by Motown. Over his short career, as a headliner for Motown/Tamla, he recorded sixty seven charted singles on the Billboard charts, with forty-one reaching the top forty, eighteen reaching the top ten and three peaking at number one on the Billboard Hot 100. Many of these songs are included on this 40 track triple LP album. Such hits as "Pride and Joy", "You're A Wonderful One", "How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You), "I Heard It Through The Grapevine", "What's Goin' On", as well as, the great duets with Kim Weston and Tammi Terrell. The album contains many, many more memorable songs. The album up for bid is a 1978 reissue by Motown Records of the original release of 1972. It consists of 40 tracks with a total run time of 98+ minutes. The trifold album also includes a 12 page photo booklet (11.5"x11.5"). The cover is in VG/VG+ condition but does show wear along the edges and corners and very mild signs of disc wear on the front and back covers. There are no split seams, tears, markings or bent corners. The interior covers contain many photos of Marvin and also track listings for each of the 3 discs. The photos and graphics are bright with no discoloration. The paper inner sleeves are original but are generic in nature with no photos or graphics. The recordings have been cleaned, tested and recorded using Audacity. All the tracks were played through without any skipping of the tracks. The sound is strong and clean. There is very little background noise. I did detect a single "click" on Side 1, track 6 (What's The Matter With You Baby) and a single "click" on Side 3, track 7 (Little Darling (I Need You). The record surfaces show only mild superficial wear that does not impact on the music. All labels are clean and intact. This is a VG+/EX collection of one of Motowns greatest solo performers and a very nice addition to anyone's collection.I always clean, listen and test every record I list on EBAY.
