The lens focuses to 12 inches. The optics look great, with no marks, dust, haze or fungus visible when examined with strong back-light. The aperture blades look fine and move freely. The aperture ring and focus ring turn smoothly with a good feel. It has generic front and rear caps. The lens has very slight signs of use. I checked its operation on a Minolta X-700. This lens was designed for Minolta X series cameras and a few others. Ask me if you are not sure if it will work on you camera. It is adaptable to digital and mirror-less cameras.
