Please plan on being home the day your package is delivered to receive your package. These are living organisms and weather conditions can be a determining factor as to whether they live or die. For this reason you must message us no later than 2 hours after the package is reported delivered for your DOA request to be considered. Provide clear photos of the dead animals in the bags before opening and we will provide further instructions after receiving your request. All shipments use breather bags and come with a live plant to provide additional oxygen and a food source to graze on. NEOCARIDINA DIVIDI SHRIMP & TANK ENVIRONMENT The shrimp you are buying are born and bred in the United States of America, in the State of Florida. We pride ourselves on providing our customers with health and disease free specimens. Even though we trust our specimens are health it is always recommended to quarantine new inhabitants for 2-4 weeks before adding them to your preferred tank. This is to protect what you already have. We do not sell imported animals and never will. Your aquarium needs to be at least 3 months old before you add shrimp. Neocaridina Dividi are hardy, easy to keep freshwater shrimp. Neocaridina Dividi can withstand and adapt to a wide range of water parameters. Breeding Rate: High Behavior: non-aggressive Difficulty: Easy-Medium Recommended water temperature: 68 - 78F Recommended Water Parameters: pH 6.5 - 8+ Our Neocaridina Dividi shrimp are kept around ph 7-8, TDS 230-300, Temps range 70-74F. Adult size male/female: 0.8 inch / 1.0 in Size you will receive: 0.25 inch / 0.5 in (At this size these dwarf shrimp travel very well). Age: The shrimp you will receive are around 3 months old (about .25"-.5" inch). They may seem small at first however they will grow to their full size in just three months. We ship juvenile shrimp to ensure their age because once it reached full size there is no way to determine if your shrimp will thrive in your tank or pass away from old age in a year. We want you to enjoy the experience of shrimp keeping for years to come just as much as we do. Diet: Neocaridina Shrimp are natural scavengers and eat a wide variety of food. We feed ours a variety of flake foods, wardley sinking pellets, and tetra color tropical granules. We also feed green beens and zucchini on occasion. Neocaridina Dividi are a freshwater high-order shrimp that carry their eggs, which hatch into miniature copies of the adults. There is no larval stage. Environment: Shrimp should be kept with live aquarium plants. This gives more grazing room as your colony grows and provides a natural source of food for your shrimp to thrive. Filter: We strongly recommend using a sponge filter to protect your shrimp from being sucked up by any intake and getting lost or killed inside your filter. Test your water before you buy shrimp, not after they start dying. too late. **Dwarf Shrimp** literally translates to **Small Small** so if you are expecting a pet lobster you will be disappointed.
