Description: 1995 Classic Premium Plus with a heavily figured maple top and one piece mahogany back. The frets are polished shiny and have minimal wear. Includes an era-correct Gibson hardshell TKL case with pink shroud. Non-chambered and weighs in at 9.5 lbs. The neck is a comfortable but somewhat slim C shape that measures .82" at the first fret and .9" at the 12th. The 496R neck pickup measures at 7.4k and the bridge 500t is 15.1k. The neck pickup has been professionally rewound to accomodate an Alnico III magnet in place of the original short ceramic, inspired by the current Gibson Custombuckers. One of the drawbacks of 90s Gibsons is they used 300k volume pots which can darken the tone. This has a 50s style wiring harness with 500k CTS pots and vintage paper in oil caps (measuring .01 for neck and .033 for bridge). Includes the original grounding plate and the magnet from the 496R. The nut has been professionally replaced with a polished bone one, original included. It's set up with new Ernie Ball Ultra 10-48 with medium-low action and a bit of relief. All original hardware and plastics. The toggle switch has been resoldered for 50s wiring and the poker chip has wear to the 'treble' imprint. The guitar is polished clean and glossy top to bottom but there are some shallow impressions to the clear coat, mostly to the back and sides. I used glare to highlight the shallow worming on the back (last pic). It had a pickguard at one point and the hole on the top has been plugged but there's still the side mounting hole. No finish checking except for a few lines to the binding. The back of the neck is blemish free. The headstock has some string change scratches to the front and a small nick to the back/top bass-side corner (see serial number pic). The knobs have some typical cracking at the center but these don't go all the way through the ferrule. The case is in good condition but the gold hardware is weathered and the bottom latch is broken and has some sticker residue around it. The satin shroud is attached at all three points and has minimal wear.
