Description: I have for sale a rare, gorgeous, full-size 7' 9" Scale 138 Chickering Concert Grand Piano with a wonderful history. Back at the time of its making, this Chickering was the Ferrari of American made pianos and was the inspiration for the creation of Steinway. This piano plays beautifully, with all keys perfectly intact with no chipping. The serial number of 15141 dates this piano back to the 1920-1930 time period. It was owned by a concert level pianist for 78 years. I acquired this piano late last year and saved it from being destroyed, preserving this piece of musical history. It has been well loved and well played, which is great for a piano. This piano has a wonderfully responsive medium-weight action. Sadly, I am moving and will not be able to take this piano with me, and it is aggressively priced to sell. Buyer will need to arrange and pay for all shipping costs to have this piano professionally moved. As with all piano shipments, it will need to be tuned after moving. This Chickering has undergone a full inspection by a member of the PTG with the report available.
