Description: For sale is a set of two (2) bread plates by Solimene of Vietri, Italy from the Campagna Collection. The hand made 6" small plates are hand painted with alternating images of a three chickens and plants. The well is defined with a wide green and narrow orange band while the rim is decorated with orange dots at the lip. The plates work well with other Campagna pieces or as bright stand-alone plates. As with all hand made pieces, each plate is slightly unique. Both (2) pieces are in very good condition with no damage or wear; they appear unused. There is a glaze pop here and there (example, photograph 12). They are marked in black on the back with the for Solimene Vietri with chicken art. Made in Italy.
