Description: Thorens TD 115 MKii Turntable For sale, we have a fine example of the Thorens TD 115 MKii Turntable. This semi automatic turntable is in perfect working order, and it sounds fabulous. It includes the original Audio Technica Signet TK 7E cartridge which is in very good shape. The semi automatic feature, on this table lifts the arm at the end of the record. It's a very smooth running machine, and spins 33, 45, and 78 RPM. We obtained the unit from the original owner, who had it stored away in the original box for many years, as he switched over to CD's in the 90's. We cleaned the unit, including all the switches and pots. We also thoroughly cleaned and serviced the main bearing, and added new oil. The original belt worked fine, but due to age, we replaced it with a new Thakker belt from Germany. Physically, the unit is in very good condition, and it only has minor blemishes. The cover is fully intact, with no cracks, and no deep scratches. It has some light swirl marks as to be expected. The rear, clear plastic panel has a few scuffs, but the are not noticeable as they are in the back of the unit. Overall the table presents itself extremely well as can be seen in the pictures. As mentioned, the unit will ship in its original box. We will double box the table for added protection during shipping. The tonearm, counterweight, mat, and outer platter will be removed for transit. The cartridge will be left on the tonearm, as there is a grey plastic box that is included by Thorens which allows the tonearm and cartridge to be clamped into during shipping. While the original manual is included, and the setup is straightforward, we are happy to walk the purchaser through the process of setting up the table upon arrival.
