Fostoria Glass Co. produced high-quality elegant glass tableware for nearly 100 years. Founded in 1887 in Fostoria, Ohio, they moved to Moundsville, West Virginia, in 1892. Today many of their pattern lines are highly sought after by collectors. This auction is for two (2) Vintage Fostoria Fairfax Orchid (Purple) 8-3/4" Luncheon Plates. Each plate, which is 5/8” tall and 8-3/4” in diameter, is in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, cloudiness or fleabites but one has what appears to be a straw mark on the bottom ring which does not affect use or display. Each has a beautifully ground and polished bottom ring. They give off an apple-green glow under black light. (18443D)
