It could be a porcelain egg, but I'm pretty sure it's an actual duck egg, that was cleaned out. It is very delicate, the flowers on the outside of the egg appear to be an appliqué, and there are the different types of trim around the edge of the box. There is a music box in the bottom portion, with a peach lining to make sure it has a finished appearance. It appears that it was overwound at some point, so it is not working, so is being sold "As Is". The appliqué appears to have a couple of wrinkles, but it is still a very pretty. I will be packing it very carefully inside a box, using tissue paper, bubble wrap and packing peanuts, then it will be placed inside a second box with packing peanuts to ensure its safe delivery.
