Description: Vintage Heidi Ott KIM Vinyl/Cloth Doll THE LITTLE ONES COLLECTION (1990?). Please note the majority of Heidi Otts early dolls were sold without shoes or stands. Kim is from The Little Ones Collection created by the talented doll artist Heidi Ott. MPN: M24. She has long black hair (human hair wig) done in a ponytail with a ribbon that matches her outfit. She has a beautiful hand painted face with brown eyes. She is marked on the back of her neck, please see pics. She has her hang tag and a dress tag, see pics. She is one of the ethnic dolls the designer included in the second M series collection. Her two-piece pants and tunic outfit is cotton in red and black color fabric, floral embroidery on the tunic. The long sleeves are straight and there is black trim at the sleeve ends and at the top of tunic. No under garments on this doll. Her black pants have a rubber band holding them up as the elastic is stretched out. This sweet doll has cute shoes that match her outfit. Please zoom in on the pictures, she is a pretty little doll. The first series of The Little Ones Collection began in 1989 with the introduction of 13 dolls all 12 tall, and 4 baby smaller dolls all 8 tall. I'm not sure when the M Series came out, but it was right after the first series. About 19 dolls 12 each were released with 2 smaller 8 dolls. Kim is number M24, each doll has a M before their number from this second series. Strangely her number is not stamped on the doll or on her box, but information I have is from internet sources on Heidi Ott dolls. The early M series were very similar to the debut dolls, I believe all of them were sold without shoes, however they gained their popularity from the dolls authentic child looks and the quality of the dolls body design, costume fabrics and simplicity. As the years went by, the costumes evolved, some dolls had shoes, and ethnic dolls were created as well. So we now have this pretty Kim doll, ethnic and with shoes! The box is not perfect and has very minor wear but the clear cover does have scratches you might see them in the pics. It is still in very good condition, no rips or tears, see pics and zoom in.
