Hand knotting with faceted clear glass rondelle spacer beads between each round opal bead. The 51 graduated opal beads range in size from 3.25 to 11.05mm. They are a milky white color with flashes of yellowish orange, yellowish green, lavendar blues and pinkish red color plays that dance in the light. These stones are moderately to heavily included. The clasp is18k (Stamped) White Gold - Bezel & tongue shape insert, - with an oval-shaped Crystal Opal Cabochon adorning the top. This stone averages 8.75 x 7.4 x 3.25 mm, with an estimated weight of 1.26 carats. This Crystal Opal has medium intensity yellowish orange, yellowish green and lavender blue play of color. This stone is lightly included. The overall weight of this necklace is 18.8 gms. This necklace was purchased in Australia and given to my Grandmother as a gift by her Brother and his wife in the early 1970's. I do not know when it was actually made.
