Vtg 1970 Bespoke Tailored Navy Blue Blazer Sport Coat Jacket Harvard Ben Silver

Description: Up for sale is this vintage Rosenthal Maretz custom tailored bespoke blazer. This blazer is navy wool, with a smooth yellow pattern lining. The shining stars of this jacket are the Ben Silver Harvard buttons- 3 larger front closure buttons and 4 smaller cuff buttons (2 at each cuff). These appear to be plated as there are areas on the edges and backs of the buttons that are more silvery toned. The buttons are generally excellent. Small flaws include a bit of discoloration around the inside collar, some stitches missing on the bottom of the second button hole, and a tiny scuff. Generally very good- I looked it over carefully and didn't see any moth holes. There is one masterfully mended spot on the front where you can see the faint edges of a patch. I can't tell if the inside armpits were ever altered or if they were hand-sewn this way by original design. Please review photos carefully as part of condition description. I’ve included close ups of the patched areas and other details mentioned.
